Where We Work...

Managed IT Support In Bristol

We’re not an IT company that covers Bristol. We’re an IT company that’s in it.

Our office is on Apex Court in Bradley Stoke, which means when we say local we mean it rather than meaning we’ll drive down the M4 if the job’s big enough. We look after businesses right across the city: engineering firms up at Aztec West and Filton, professional practices in Clifton and the centre, distribution operations out at Avonmouth, and a good number of places in between. This page covers what we do, what it costs, and the few things about Bristol that genuinely change the IT answer.

Why Bristol Businesses Call Us

Most people get in touch for one of four reasons.

They’ve outgrown break and fix.

Calling someone out when something breaks works until the business gets big enough that something is always broken. The hourly bills stop being occasional and nobody is doing anything to stop the problems recurring.

Their provider has gone quiet.

They only hear from them when something has failed or when there’s something to sell. No reviews, no roadmap, no sense that anyone is thinking ahead.

A customer or insurer has asked a question they can’t answer.

A security questionnaire, a Cyber Essentials requirement, or an insurance renewal form with a question about multi-factor authentication that nobody can honestly tick.

Or something happened.

A scare, a scam email that nearly worked, a laptop lost, a member of staff who left and still had access three weeks later.

What’s Different About IT In Bristol

North Bristol runs on supply chain certification.

Between Filton, Aztec West and Abbey Wood there’s a dense cluster of aerospace, defence and engineering businesses, and a lot of them are in somebody else’s supply chain. That means Cyber Essentials isn’t a nice to have, it’s a condition of the contract, and the questionnaires get longer every year.

If you’re a precision engineering firm with twenty staff supplying a primary, your security posture is a commercial issue before it’s a technical one. We do a lot of this work, and we hold the certifications ourselves rather than talking about them.

Avonmouth and Severnside have a connectivity problem nobody warns you about.

Large distribution sheds full of racking and metal are genuinely difficult to cover properly, and the coverage that worked at fit out stops working the moment the layout changes. If your pickers are losing signal halfway down an aisle, that’s a survey job rather than another access point stuck on a wall.

And Clifton has the opposite problem.

Georgian terraces and converted townhouses, thick walls, conservation constraints, and no ability to run cable where you’d want it. Different building, same principle: the standard answer doesn’t apply and it needs looking at properly.

The practical bit.

We’re on the north side of the city, which is handy for the M4 and M5 corridor and less handy for anyone expecting us to nip into the centre in rush hour. We’ll do as much as possible remotely because that’s faster for you, and when a visit is genuinely needed we’ll plan it properly rather than making two trips.

What Do We Do

01

Unlimited IT Support

A helpdesk your team can ring without anyone counting tickets or charging per incident. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We don’t work to fixed SLA response times, we work on priority, so something urgent is treated as urgent rather than waiting its turn because a contract says four hours.

02

Security and Certification

Device protection, email security, multi-factor authentication and monitoring, plus Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification when a customer, insurer or tender requires it.

03

Backup, Continuity and Recovery

Backup of your Microsoft 365 data as well as your files and servers, with restores tested rather than assumed, so you know how long recovery would actually take.

04

Networks and Wifi, Including the Difficult Ones

Surveys and design for buildings that fight back, whether that’s a distribution shed in Avonmouth, a listed terrace in Clifton or a site spread across several floors.

We’ve been in Bristol a long time and most of our customers are within half an hour of the office. That’s not a marketing line, it’s just how the business grew, and it means when somebody rings about a problem we’ve usually seen the building. There are plenty of national providers who’ll cover Bristol. There aren’t many who’ve already been in your office.

Who We Help

Businesses across Bristol come to us at every size and stage. There’s more detail on how we work with different kinds of organisation, by business size, by IT maturity and by sector.

Questions Bristol businesses ask us

We’ve compiled the questions we’re asked most often by businesses in Bristol. If yours isn’t here, please get in touch.

Apex Court, Woodlands, Bradley Stoke, just off the M4 and M5. Easy for North Bristol, Filton, Aztec West and anywhere along the motorway corridor, and a sensible drive to the centre, Clifton or Avonmouth when a visit is needed.

Very common in the Avonmouth and Severnside sheds. Racking, metal and stock all interfere with signal, and coverage that worked at fit out usually doesn’t after a layout change. It needs a survey rather than another access point, and the difference for the pick team is immediate.

We hear this constantly in North Bristol, particularly from anyone in aerospace or defence supply chains. Certification is included in our Professional package, and as an NCSC Assured Service Provider and IASME certified Cyber Advisor we take you through the whole process rather than handing you a form. We’ll give you an honest timescale once we’ve seen where you’re starting from.

Thick walls, conservation constraints and nowhere sensible to run cable. Solvable, but it needs designing around the building rather than through it. It’s one of the more satisfying jobs we do.

Yes, when it’s needed. New setups, network and wifi work, hardware, and anything that genuinely needs hands. We’ll do as much remotely as we sensibly can first, because that’s faster for you than waiting for someone to cross the city.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Out of hours cover isn’t included as standard, but it can be arranged separately where a business genuinely needs it, and we’ll give you an honest view of whether you do.

We don’t work to fixed SLA response times, and that’s deliberate. A service level agreement treats every ticket as a clock. We work on priority instead, so if your issue is stopping you working it’s dealt with straight away rather than queued behind something trivial.

No. Any package can be taken on a rolling monthly term. Longer terms carry a discount if that suits you better, but it’s a choice rather than a condition.

Possibly, and possibly not. We’ll look at what you’ve got and what you’re paying, and if our honest view is that you’re well served where you are, we’ll tell you. That happens more often than you’d expect.

Yes. IT, communications, hosting and marketing all sit within the same group, so it can be one relationship rather than four suppliers blaming each other.

Ready when you are

We look after businesses across Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Somerset and Swindon, with remote support anywhere in the UK. We’re an NCSC Assured Service Provider, Cyber Essentials Plus certified, and ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accredited.

Start with an hour and an honest picture of what you’re running, what it’s costing and where the gaps are. No obligation, and you keep the findings whether or not you work with us.
