Router and firewall-based filtering only works when devices are on your network. ThreatLocker Web Control is on the device — so it works everywhere, including on home networks and public Wi-Fi.
Yes. ThreatLocker Web Control operates at DNS level, so it can block sites regardless of whether they use HTTP or HTTPS.
It’s difficult. The filtering is enforced by the ThreatLocker agent, which has tamper protection built in. It’s not a simple browser extension that can be removed.
Occasionally a legitimate site may be miscategorised. We can add custom exceptions quickly — just raise it with your IT team.
Web Control produces reporting on blocked attempts and site categories accessed. Any monitoring of individual browsing activity should be disclosed to staff in line with your acceptable use policy.
