Whether you’re a one-person operation or a growing business with a full team, we’re here to help. Get in touch and let’s talk about what we can do for you.
You don’t need us to keep the lights on. You might need us for the things a team can’t do for itself.
You’ve got a capable team. They know your estate, they handle the day to day, and most of what an IT provider sells you is something they already do. So the honest question isn’t whether you need outsourced support. It’s whether there are specific things your team genuinely cannot do from the inside, however good they are, and what those are worth. This page is about those things.
Good internal teams hit the same four ceilings, and none of them are about competence.
Cover. A team of three can’t run a rota that covers evenings, weekends and holidays without either burning people out or leaving gaps. Somebody is always the one who gets rung.
Specialist depth. Security has become a discipline of its own. Expecting a generalist team to run threat detection, respond to incidents, maintain a certification and keep the estate running is expecting a lot, and it’s usually the security work that slips because nothing visibly breaks when it does.
Surge. A migration, an acquisition, an office move or a Copilot rollout needs hands you don’t have for eight weeks and can’t justify hiring permanently.
Independent assurance. This is the one nobody says out loud. A team that configures the controls, runs the controls and reports on the controls is marking its own homework. That isn’t a criticism of anyone, it’s a governance problem, and it’s the first thing a serious auditor or a customer’s security team will notice.
The gaps in a mature internal team aren’t in the day job. They’re in cover, specialism, surge and the things nobody can properly check about themselves.
The costs here are quiet. The security work that never quite gets to the top of the list. The project that takes nine months because it’s run alongside business as usual. The control that’s been “fine” for three years because the person who checks it is the person who set it up. The knowledge that sits with one infrastructure engineer who has six weeks of leave saved up.
There’s also no external benchmark. Internal teams have no easy way to answer “is this normal?” or “what are businesses like us doing?”, because their comparison set is one company.
Adding the right external support doesn’t dilute an internal team, it removes their ceiling. They keep the work that needs someone who knows your business. They stop being the only line of defence at 2am, they get specialist backup on security, they get hands when a project lands, and they get an independent check that makes their own work more defensible, not less.
Threat detection, endpoint protection, vulnerability management and incident response run by people who do only this. Plus the evidence trail your team would otherwise be assembling by hand the week before an audit.
Out of hours by arrangement, cover for leave and absence, and extra hands for migrations, rollouts and moves. Your team stops being the constraint on how fast the business can change.
We review what’s in place and tell you honestly, including when the answer is that your team has it right. Useful before an audit, before a customer’s security review, and whenever leadership wants a view that isn’t from the people doing the work.
A short assessment covering the areas auditors, insurers and customers ask about. Worth running even if you never speak to us, and your team may well enjoy arguing with the results.
Where a package does apply, it’s usually Professional: the strongest security stack we offer, plus Cyber Essentials tools and certification support. That’s typically the layer an internal team would specify for itself if the licensing and the time were available, and it’s the piece that most often hasn’t been got to.
But a co-managed arrangement with a full internal team isn’t something to buy off a page. What we’d agree with you is which parts are ours and which stay yours: whether we take out of hours, whether we run security monitoring or support your team in running it, what happens during projects, and where an independent review sits. That gets written down before anything starts.
Where your team already runs security well, Essential covers the foundations without duplicating what you’ve built, and we focus on cover and capacity instead.
Start with a review. You’ll get an honest picture of where you’re strong and where the gaps are, in writing, whether or not you work with us. For a team that’s never had an outside view, that’s often worth having on its own.
The Professional IT Support Service is for businesses that want the best — complete IT support, the strongest security we offer, and Cyber Essentials tools and certification support all in one package. If you need to protect your reputation, meet compliance requirements, and have confidence your IT is in safe hands, this is it.
Key Features
Every package is unlimited support with no ticket caps and no per-incident charges. Rolling monthly terms are available, longer terms carry a discount, and not-for-profit pricing applies across the range.
A provider whose first suggestion is to replace your tooling with theirs is selling, not assessing. Where what you have works, it stays.
Same monitoring, same tickets, same documentation. If your team can’t see into the work, it isn’t co-managed, it’s outsourced with extra steps.
Including the awkward edges: out of hours, incidents, and who has authority when nobody senior is reachable.
A review that only ever finds problems isn’t a review, it’s a proposal. Your team should expect to be told what they’ve got right.
The point is that your team ends up better resourced and better informed, not more dependent on us.
Ask what accreditations a provider holds themselves. If they’re asking you to evidence controls they can’t evidence, that’s worth knowing.
This is the part that stops most people, and it’s usually smaller than imagined.
Not done to them. What’s in place, what’s ageing, where the gaps are, and what they’d fix first if they had the time. Their view carries weight because they’re usually right.
Which functions we take, which stay internal, how escalation works, and what happens out of hours. Reviewed as things change rather than fixed for three years.
Security tooling, monitoring and cover go in alongside what you already run. Where your existing tooling is good, it stays, and we’ll say so.
Regular sessions on what’s changed, what’s coming and what needs deciding, in a form your leadership can use and your team helped write.
Questions internal IT teams ask us
No. We don’t pitch headcount reduction and we’d be wary of any provider who does. Businesses that cut internal IT after outsourcing usually find they’ve lost the person who understood how everything actually fitted together, and they rehire within a couple of years. Our aim is a better resourced team, not a smaller one.
Four things a team can’t do from the inside: cover outside working hours and during absence, genuine security specialism, hands when a project lands, and an independent view of your own controls. If none of those are a problem for you, we’d say so rather than invent a fifth.
You are. Your head of IT owns the estate and the decisions. We’re a supplier with a defined scope, not a shadow department, and we don’t take recommendations to your leadership that your team hasn’t seen.
No. Where what you run works, it stays. We’ll tell you where something duplicates what we’d bring, and where consolidating would save money, but ripping out working systems to fit our stack isn’t in your interest.
Yes, and this is where an outside party genuinely helps. Your team can implement controls beautifully and still struggle to evidence them objectively, because they’re too close. We do the gap analysis, the evidence pack and the pre-audit review. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus ourselves, and we’re an NCSC Assured Service Provider and IASME certified Cyber Advisor.
Standard support is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with out of hours cover available by arrangement. With an internal team this is usually the highest value thing we take on, because it’s the thing that quietly costs you people.
Yes. Migrations, rollouts, office moves and acquisitions are common reasons teams call us, and there’s no requirement to take ongoing support alongside it.
We don’t work to fixed SLA response times, and that’s deliberate. A service level agreement treats every ticket as a clock: a major outage and a slow printer both get whatever response time somebody wrote into a contract. We work on priority instead. If your issue is urgent, it’s treated as urgent, straight away. If it isn’t, it gets done properly rather than rushed to hit a target.
No. You can take any package on a rolling monthly term. Longer terms carry a discount, 5% at 12 months, 10% at 24 and 20% at 36 on IT support, but that’s your choice, not a condition.
We work alongside internal IT teams across Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Somerset and Swindon, and remotely across the UK. We’re an NCSC Assured Service Provider, Cyber Essentials Plus certified, and ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 accredited, so the specialist work we take on is work we’re audited on ourselves.
The first step is a review with your team in the room. You’ll get an honest picture of where you’re strong and where the gaps are, whether or not you work with us afterwards.
There is nothing more annoying than an IT glitch that stops you working efficiently. However, knowing you have access to immediate attention to the glitch and a solution to it, is very reassuring and that is provided by We Do Your IT. We have so appreciated the availability and response given by the team at We Do Your IT, enabling us to remain a productive firm.
